Establishment of new and innovative business-academia cooperation platform in Geoinformatics, the task 3.1 of WP3, in the terms of project is seen and designed as an effective tool in managing and sustainability of GEOBIZ Project products in the post-project phase. GEOBIZ   newsletter   #18   is the Final newsletter in the project lifetime summarizing project activities in the last project quarter.

Monography “Development of classic and modern geodetic reference systems of Albania (1872-2019)” represents valuable contribution to GEOBIZ project objectives and publishing it is one of the final project results. In this guide is described the methodology of problem-based learning and how it is implemented in the teaching process. This concise summary guide is focused primarily on the field of geoinformatics, but the presented methodology and instructions can be implemented in any STEM field, and beyond. GEOBIZ project outcome brochure is now available. This publication presents project activities and their outcomes partly through a brief review of certain key activities, and partly through examples of how the model of business-academic cooperation was implemented. The Final Conference and Progress meeting of the GEOBIZ project will be held from 10 to 11 November 2022 in Tirana at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Rectorate building, auditorium "Silvano Pedrollo" (2nd floor). The program for both days can be found at this link.

During the celebration of #ErasmusDay in Chisinau, #Moldova, a panel was held where Capatina Lucia shared her Erasmus experiences. The entire recording is below, and look at Lucia's experiences in the last 26 minutes of the recording. Congratulations Lucia!

We are proud that this year's Progres meeting of the Erasmus+ CBHE Ka2 "Business-driven problem-based learning for academic excellence in geoinformatics / GEOBIZ" project is being held during Erasmus days.  In addition to the Progress meeting and the Project Management Board meeting, a special session will be held where the partner universities will present their results and impact from the GEOBIZ project.

The GEOBIZ project started in 2019 and we have many realized activities behind us. During #ERASMUSDAYS 2022, we organize GEOBIZ Open days, where we present a retrospective of the activities so far. We invite all those interested to follow us on our social networks, where they will be able to see presentations of project results and published publications, video galleries of project activities and live-chat with members of the project consortium.

Faculty of History and Philology (University of Tirana) and Faculty of Civil Engineering (Polytechnic University of Tirana), organized on September 23rd, 2022, the second Business Academia Workshop: "Modernization of curricula and continuing education to increase student skills and Business - University cooperation", in the frame of GEOBIZ Project_"Business driven problem-based learning for academic excellence in geoinformatics" (2019-2022) ), part of the ERASMUS+ CBHE Program.

The 2022 General Assemblies (GA) of the Copernicus Academy and Relays networks are right behind the corner! They will take place in hybrid mode on the 3rd and 4th of October in Prague (Czech Republic), during the 2022 EU Space Week. The first edition of the International Conference on Earth Observation and Geo-spatial Information ICEOGI 2023 is co-organized by the LTIR Laboratory of the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB) and the LITIO Laboratory of the University of Oran 1 Ahmed Ben Bella (UORAN1). ICEOGI 2023 will take place in Algiers, Al-geria, May 22-24, 2023.

Faculty of History and Philology organized on May 27th-28th, 2022, the third LLL course in GIS (Geographic Information Systems), in the framework of the GEOBIZ project – “Problem-based and business-oriented learning to achieve academic excellence in Geoinformatics" co-financed by the Erasmus + Program of the EU. The LLL course: “Analysing spatial patterns of noise in urban areas by mapping”, which was attended by 24 participants, was led by Prof. asoc. Dr. Sonila Papathimiu.

We are happy to inform you that Faculty of History and Philology (FHPH), University of Tirana organized the first LLL course. Course Statistical data utilization in GIS applications organized in Tirana, 29th and 30th March 2022 by Faculty of History and Philology, University of Tirana, in the frame of Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE project “Business driven problem-based learning for academic excellence in geoinformatics” - GEOBIZ. The LLL course was attended by 22 participants participants which gained knowledge of statistical data applications using appropriate tools in ArcGIS 10.8 program to their professional field to use that knowledge and advance their professional development.

On May 14th 2022, the Faculty of Technical Sciences opened its doors to high school students who are interested in studying at this faculty of the University of Novi Sad. Visitors had the opportunity to hear all about the study programs they can enroll in the 2022/2023 school year. Additinaly, they are informed about the entrance exam, the possibility of applying for several study programs as well as the opportunities for all activities that the Faculty provides.

FHF organized on April 27th-28th, 2022, the second LLL course in SIG (Geographic Information Systems), in the framework of the GEOBIZ project – Problem-based and business-oriented learning to achieve academic excellence in Geoinformatics" co-financed by the Erasmus + Program of the EU.

The primary objective of the symposium is to give an opportunity to the Moldavian and foreign experts, researchers and PhD students to present their latest results as well as to meet, establish and cultivate personal and professional relations.

According 2nd cycle of the GEOBIZ Project, University of Pristina, Project Partner number P14, held practice workshop-LLL focusing B-A. The gathering took place at the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) premises.. In the second round of B-A, in cooperation with EMA, we organised a joint study practice as never stop learning (LLL), with the topic: "Practical implementation of geoinformation in emergency management"

The Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Prishtina held a Business-Academia workshop together with the Industrial Board within the Erasmus+ Ka2 CBHE “Business driven problem-based learning for academic excellence in geoinformatics – GEOBIZ” project.

The EO4GEO project, implemented by a consortium of 26 partners, including KU Leuven, University of Zagreb - Faculty of Geodesy and Novogit, invites you to the final conference of the project, which will be held on May 17th and 18th in hybrid mode (Brussels and online) where the results of this four-year Erasmus+ project will be presented. Join us in a discussion with key European actors from the Earth Observation and Geographic Information domain and stakeholders from the education and training sector.

We invite you to join our workshop on 28.02.2022, organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering Pristina and the GEOBIZ Project to present communicate and analyze the practical effects of the connection between academia and business on the economic development of the country.

In order to help the partner’s teachers to improve their knowledge and use of new technology in learning process properly, additional training event with two topics will held on Monday, 21. February 2022.

Erasmus+ Ka2 Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education, GEOBIZ Progress meeting Pristina, will be held in November 11th – 12th, 2021, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Pristina, R. Kosovo.

From 13-17. September was held at the Center for Advanced Academic Studies of the University of Zagreb in Dubrovnik 2nd Summer School of GEOBIZ project which brought together 45 participants from 8 European countries.

EO4GEO and University of Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy invites you from July 12th till 14th to a webinar about the usage of EO, GNSS and GIS technologies for fast disaster response with emphasis on surface displacement monitoring and delivery of computed information to public.

The first summer school will be held in the week from July 5 to July 9 as part of the GEOBIZ project. In addition to the summer school, Belgrade will host the 6th progress meeting of the project and the 11th PMB.
